ABUJA, Nigeria: Breaking news has just crossed our desk here at the NIP regarding the father of unlucky terrorist Abdul Farouk Mutallab. It is widely known that the fizzled bomber’s father met with US Embassy officials in Abujah to warn them of his son’s intent to carry out acts of violence against the United States. As most people know all interactions with US Embassy officials on foreign soil are recorded for intelligence as well as archival purposes.

The NIP was provided with the following unofficial transcript of meeting between embassy official and the terrorist’s father, Alhaji Umaru Mutallab. We need to caution readers as to the graphic nature of the exchange and also remind readers that this transcript has not been verified. Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, Terrorist's Father

ABUJAH, Nigeria: Just three days after his arrest for his failed bomb attempt on the NWA flight to Detroit the terrorist has warned that others will follow. According to the Nigerian Compass News:

Abdul Farouk Mutallab has declared that even if he is prosecuted and jailed, other trained terrorists would finish the job very soon. “I am one from a production line of terrorists that has been trained in Yemen by al-Qaeda,” he said…

The foiled attack came four days after a video was posted on extremist websites showing an al-Qaeda militant in Yemen warning: “We are carrying a bomb to hit the enemies of God.”…

More disturbing is the apparent failure of U.S. authorities to respond swiftly and seriously to warnings by Mr. Abdulmutallab’s father about his son’s “radicalisation and associations” with Islamist extremists.

WASHINGTON: Diplomatic Immunity is that cloak and dagger privilege granted to a certain few foreign government officials, the gift to do as they please within a foreign country. The purpose of the immunity is to protect the channels of diplomatic communication between nations, allowing diplomats to perform their duties with freedom and security.

Some of the protections diplomats enjoy?

• Diplomats may not be arrested or detained by authorities.
• Their residences are not subject to search warrants.
• A diplomat may not be subpoenaed as a witness in a legal proceeding.
• And a diplomat may not be prosecuted, making them immune from both criminal and civil law suits.

A diplomat’s home country may waive immunity and allow its diplomat to be prosecuted, but this rarely happens.

Because diplomatic immunity offers such broad protection, it would only make sense to limit the privilege to those foreign officials who are the pipelines of communication between the United States and their home country. But common sense does not appear to be a factor within the Obama brain trust.

On Dec. 17^th, President Obama issued an Executive Order amending another executive order issued by President Regan in 1983. Regan’s executive order 12425 recognized INTERPOL (the International Criminal Police Organization) as an international organization and granted it some immunities traditionally given to diplomats with some important exceptions. These exceptions made INTERPOL property and assets subject to search and seizures, taxes, and duties. DETROIT: Christmas day’s terrorist attack by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab represents a colossal failure of intelligence and airline security forces. US media downplay the incident, but overseas headlines read  ”Detroit terror attack is a major intelligence and security failure.“ The US embassy was warned by the young man’s own father, he was on a watch list and his multiple-entry US visa was renewed even though the British revoked their visa. He purchased his one-way ticket with cash. The flight originated from Nigeria, he boarded with no passport, no checked baggage but with explosive chemicals. Yet in spite of all of this Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano assures us, “the system worked.” Is this a new system you have instituted Ms. Napolitano? Now we’re on our own. You let the terrorists board and leave it up to us passengers to defend ourselves? And this is change we can believe in?

MSNBC: We’re delighted with Chris Matthews and the NBC network. First it was the tingling up Matthews’ leg. Now it’s his apparent love affair revealed last Tuesday with “one of our heroes from the past, Saul Alinsky.” We here at the NIP wonder just who exactly he is talking about when he says “our heroes.” Is he lumping himself in as a pal of Obama, since Alinsky is one of Barack’s heroes too? Or is he just talking about his pals at NBC? The clip below came less than a week after he pronounced he was a liberal (surprise, surprise):

How very brave of him to come out as a liberal! Now in the prevarication business this is news. It used to be that journalists (what’s journalism?) used to pride themselves on objective reporting. Now apparently Matthews has come out of the closet. No objectivity here, just out and out agenda-advancement and propaganda-pushing.

Now Saul Alinsky was no Mao, but Matthews is a lot like Anita Dunn who loved to quote Mao. Alinsky is considered the founder of American rabble-rousing, a radical seeking to bring down our Constitutional government. And if Matthews helps him do it, we guess that will put the tingle up Chris’s other leg.

Yeah, this is real Hardball all right…

Since the NIP is publicly funded (thanks to the stimulus package), we are very reluctant to criticize our Commander-in-Chief, as loyal readers well know.
