Al Gore Nominated for 1999 Prevaricator of the Year™

Al Gore Invents the InternetTHE INTERNET: Al Gore took the initiative in creating the Internet, as he asserted in an interview with Wolf Blitzer in 1999. Well known for inventing global warming, few Internet users also know of Mr. Gore’s primary role in creating the Internet. How he had time for that and running our country is a mystery to us. They say if you want to get something done, give the job to a busy man. Attaboy Al!

Apparently the folks at ARPANET claim to have had something to do with the Internet back in 1969. They have taken issue with Gore’s claim and have nominated him for 1999 Prevaricator of the Year™. If you have anyone else you are considering you better get the names in soon, as it looks like Al may have 1999 put away in his “lockbox”.

What qualifies a lifetime politician with an education in journalism to be the world’s spokesman for climate change?

As one of the members of the The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences I have lodged a protest against Gore’s 2007 Academy Award. We hope that your Institute will consider a nomination Al Gore to receive 2007 Prevaricator of the Year.

I lodged the complaint with Roger hoping to have Gore’s 2007 Academy Award overturned. I hope you don’t move forward with 1999 Prevaricator of the Year if it means Al misses out on the 2007 nomination.
