How Climate Researchers Look at Us

December 15th, 2009 No comments

COPENHAGEN: Here is one of the “scientific studies” found tucked away in the Climategate files. (You can download the files and see for yourself.) Does this look like the “researchers” at Hadley CRU are unbiased? A video was shown on Glenn Beck today which showed an environmentalist at Copenhagen using this slide as an example of name-calling, which in her mind was an example of public hysteria. Too bad this example was from their side.

From the Climategate Files

On his show Glenn said he wished he had the slide being shown by the environmentalist. We found it in the Climategate files. Here you go, Glenn. ;)

Democrats Think Economy Unsinkable, Like The Titanic

The "Unsinkable" Titanic

The "Unsinkable" Titanic

Democrats and a few Republicans must harbor the same mistaken assumption concerning American fiscal policy as that of Philip A. S. Franklin, Vice President of White Star Line when he made a comment in response to the sinking of his company’s ship, the RMS Titanic. He said “I thought her unsinkable and I based [my] opinion on the best expert advice available.” America has hit a fiscal iceberg and the ship is rapidly flooding with debt that will soon drag it to the bottom of the sea floor, and instead of bailing water over the bow, Congress is widening the hole allowing more debt to flood in.

Over the weekend Congress gave final approval to a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending measure that increases budgets for federal government agencies an average of 12 percent and gives federal workers a 2 percent pay increase. The bill also includes 5,224 pet projects known as earmarks at a cost of $4 billion. But what’s a few billion when you’re spending over a trillion dollars; we can afford it, right? (To get an idea of what a trillion dollars looks like, check out this link.)

Here is a small sampling of the disclosed earmarks:

  • $2.7 million to support surgical operations in space.
  • $200,000 for the Washington National Opera.
  • $30,000 for the Woodstock Film Festival Youth Initiative. Read more…

Bloomberg’s Billions Buy Opinions

Bloomberg's Billions Buy OpinionsUnderstanding the Latest Anti-Gun “Poll”

This week, anti-gun New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, released the findings of a poll conducted by a political consulting firm called “The Word Doctors,” whose slogan is “It’s not what you say, it’s what people hear.” Word Doctors’ president is a pollster who has been reprimanded by the American Association for Public Opinion Research and censured by the National Council on Public Polls, and who says that the key to polling is “to ask a question in the way that you get the right answer.”

At some other time in our nation’s history, an organization like this would not have been commissioned to conduct a poll, and perhaps it would not even have existed. At a minimum, its poll would have been considered biased and rejected by every newspaper in the country. Read more…

Al Gore Lies About Climategate Emails

December 10th, 2009 2 comments

Al Gore Lies About Climategate EmailsCOPENHAGEN: 1999 Prevaricator of the Year nominee Al Gore is at it again. This time he is “setting the record straight” on the East Anglia emails leaked in the Climategate scandal. In an interview with Gore, John Dickerson at Slate.com clears up some of those pesky questions:

Q: How damaging to your argument was the disclosure of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University?

A: To paraphrase Shakespeare, it’s sound and fury signifying nothing. I haven’t read all the e-mails, but the most recent one is more than 10 years old. These private exchanges between these scientists do not in any way cause any question about the scientific consensus.

That’s the problem with these scientists like Al Gore. Time and space are completely relative when it comes to stretching the truth. The emails in fact have time stamps from as recent as this one by Phil Jones from November 12th, 2009. There are dozens more from just last month. Read more…

2nd Warning from Moody’s: US May Lose Aaa Rating

We may all be singing in green tights

Weren't you listening before? Now you're joining my band. Hope you can play guitar.

LONDON: The UK Pound declined against the dollar today after the market digested Moody’s warning about a possible downgrade of the country’s credit rating. “Britain and the U.S. had ‘resilient’ Aaa ratings, as opposed to the ‘resistant’ top ratings on Canada, Germany and France, Moody’s said in a report today,” according to Bloomberg.

Credit-rating agency Moody’s Investor Services on Tuesday warned that the United States and Great Britain may test the limits of their AAA sovereign ratings due to deteriorating public finances.

“These are the AAA countries whose public finances are deteriorating considerably and may therefore test the Aaa boundaries,” wrote Pierre Cailleteau, managing director of Moody’s sovereign risk group… Read more…

Stimulus Ineffective, So Let’s Do More of It

December 8th, 2009 No comments

Obama is smarter than Albert EinsteinWASHINGTON: When it comes to public policy we thought these guys were supposed to be smart, veritable Einsteins as it were. The economy is still broken, apparently. First it was TARP. Then the Fed prints money like it is going out of style. (It IS going out of style.) Then the interim budget. Then the new budget. Then the Stimulus, with tons of earmarks. Followed by massive deficit spending. Surprise, nothing has  fixed the economy!

So President Obama today revealed his new jobs policy. Guess what? We as nation must continue to “spend our way out of this recession.” So what didn’t work before we will now do more of. Whatever happened to Einstein’s famous quotations:

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.

America’s New Pearl Harbor: Safe Schools

December 7th, 2009 1 comment

CZAR exposes children to kiddie porn:

One of their latest offensives is the Obama administration’s appointment of militant gay activist Kevin Jennings to be the Department of Education’s director of the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, i.e. the “Safe Schools CZAR.”

Sixty-eight years ago today, Japan launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor that brought the United States into World War II. In that historic conflict we defeated Japan and its German Nazi ally four years later at a cost of over 400,000 American lives.

Since before World War II however, we have faced a much more subtle foe – one that in many ways has been more deadly. The foe is an amorphous mass, variably called: “Liberal,” “Progressive,” “Leftist,” “the Left,” “the Radical Left,” the “New Left,” “Communist,” “Neo-communist,” “Socialist,” “Marxist,” “Neo-Marxist,” even “Marxofascist.”

Lest “liberals” take offense at being associated with communists, Marxists and socialists, it can only be said that Lenin referred to them as “useful idiots,” i.e. those who knowingly or unknowingly assist communists in achieving communist objectives. For this reason communists share the same contempt for liberals that the rest of us do. We both know they are fools. The difference is that we have to pay for their stupidity. Read more…
