That means, once you discover your gun has been lost or stolen you must report this fact to the police. What is wrong with that? This is an anti-gun trafficking ordinance, nothing more, nothing less. And while you're reading, why don't you go read the Heller decision handed down by the Supreme Court last year. In it the court ruled that "like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose." The court made it absolutely clear that the right to own a gun exists side by side with the right to regulate the purchase, possession and carrying of guns.
