Napolitano Surprised at Determination of Al Qaeda?
WASHINGTON: When asked the question of what was “the most shocking, stunning thing” that she gleaned from the review on the fizzled panty bomber Napolitano replied:
I think, following up on that, not just the determination of al Qaeda and al Qaeda Arabian Peninsula, but the tactic of using an individual to foment an attack, as opposed to a large conspiracy or a multi-person conspiracy such as we saw in 9/11, that is something that affects intelligence. It really emphasizes now the renewed importance on how different intelligence is integrated and analyzed, and threat streams are followed through. And, again, it will impact how we continue to review the need to improve airport security around the world.
Judging by her comment, the NIP is surprised that Napolitano had even heard of al Qaeda before the attack. She’s surprised at their determination? That’s the problem with the Obama administration, they don’t take al Qaeda seriously. Al Qaeda destroyed the twin towers, didn’t that take determination? What’s it going to take to wake up these people? We hesitate to even speculate.
This administration has a naive supposition about Obama’s Muslim background and the efficacy of his trips all over the world apologizing for freedom. They think that Obama’s posturing would somehow convince al Qaeda to abandon their desire to destroy the West and establish a worldwide caliphate. That assumption should have been buried along with the victims in Ft. Hood, Texas, but unfortunately, it is alive and well judging by Napolitano’s remarks.
Apparently she never heard the term “suicide bomber” before either. We shouldn’t be surprised. After all she takes her cues from Obama. They called off the war on terror, and her first threat memo went out warning about our GI’s coming home from a war that she says doesn’t exist.

Nobody ever said that you have to be intelligent to be in office. You just have to be smart enough to get elected (have an idea or plan of anything different), or have enough money to buy your way in, or know somebody already there. Most of who I have seen in our Government could be replaced by any average American, And an Average American could do a better job in their sleep than the people we have in office do on their feet. It’s time to vote them out and give their jobs to people that are willing to work for their paychecks and represent the people that pay them.
