Your Voice Matters – Joe Wilson Responds to NIP
WASHINGTON: Today the NIP heard back from Representative Joe Wilson. We contacted him with news of President Obama receiving the 2009 Prevaricator of the Year™ award. Turns out Joe was right, Obama was lying. We have also heard back from many of you, expressing support for Rep. Wilson’s courage. For those of you who missed it, our thanks to Joe Wilson was posted here on January 5th.
It really does matter if you involve yourself in the political process. Please continue to show Joe your support and also for those in Congress who are brave enough to stand up to this juggernaut of socialism that is barreling down on the US. Vote for him if he is in your district, support him in any way you can if you are not.
His letter to the NIP in pdf form is archived here, and here is the text of his letter:

Dear Karl,
Thank you for your recent correspondence and support. I appreciate your taking to the time to write.
I understand your concerns and welcome your interest in this matter. During President Obama’s address to Congress, I let my emotions get the best of me following remarks about health care reform legislation.
I am grateful for your encouragement during this important time. I will continue to speak out against the Obama administration and its Congressional allies’ attempts to force a $1 trillion health care monstrosity on the American people. It is clear that certain groups in Washington are now using my stance to divert focus from serious concerns with the substance of the legislation. Health care insurance reform is too important to take a backseat to these political games. Please be assured that I will continue to speak up for Americans and keep your thoughts in mind as the debate on health care reform moves forward in the 111th Congress.
It is an honor to represent the people of the Second Congressional District of South Carolina, and I value your input.
If I may be of further assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Very truly yours,
Joe WilsonMember of Congress
