Open Letter to President Obama

April 17th, 2010 No comments

James SimpsonJAMES SIMPSON: Dear President Obama,

Shortly after your election I wrote the following letter to you. In retrospect it appears that you ignored all my suggestions. In fact, it seems plain that you did exactly what I was afraid you would do. To drive home the point I have reproduced the letter in its entirety here. It was first published by the New Media Journal on January 14, 2009, shortly before your inauguration. I don’t expect you to change now, either. You seem relentlessly determined to persist in the most breathtakingly mindless, destructive policies ever pursued by a sitting president. But I do reproduce it here to show that your intentions were painfully clear to many of us from the beginning, and that awareness has grown to encompass a huge swath – if not a majority - of the voting public. The emperor truly has no clothes. Your intentions are bare naked before the world.

Tea Party New Contract ‘From’ America

April 16th, 2010 No comments

ContractFromAmerica.orgWASHINGTON, DC: Yesterday saw Americans rise up all over the country protesting high taxes and big government. 454,331 tea party patriots have logged on to ContractFromAmerica.org and voted for principles that they feel need to be incorporated by Congress to protect our American way of life. Their web site insists that this platform is from the ground up, not “handed down from on high by old-bull politicians, but one handed up from the true grassroots in this country.” Basic principles include:

Individual Liberty. Our moral, political, and economic liberties are inherent, not granted by our government. It is essential to the practice of these liberties that we be free from restriction over our peaceful political expression and free from excessive control over our economic choices.

Limited Government. The purpose of our government is to exercise only those limited powers that have been relinquished to it by the people, chief among these being the protection of our liberties by administering justice and ensuring our safety from threats arising inside or outside our country’s sovereign borders. When our government ventures beyond these functions and attempts to increase its power over the marketplace and the economic decisions of individuals, our liberties are diminished and the probability of corruption, internal strife, economic depression, and poverty increases.

Economic Freedom. The most powerful, proven instrument of material and social progress is the free market. The market economy, driven by the accumulated expressions of individual economic choices, is the only economic system that preserves and enhances individual liberty. Any other economic system, regardless of its intended pragmatic benefits, undermines our fundamental rights as free people. ContractFromAmerica.org

So far the results of their voting have prioritized these items for inclusion in their new Contract From America: Read more…

NASA Shortchanged, Obama Short on Specifics

Apollo Missions to the MoonCAPE CANAVERAL, FL: Today President Obama laid out his vision for future space exploration after cutting NASA’s mission to the moon. NASA had discontinued further deployment of the space shuttle to be able to afford their planned mission to the moon due to Congressional budget cuts, and now the moon program has been scrapped. The NIP has previously warned that the US is about to become a third world country in space.

Obama, being sensitive to criticism, scheduled his trip to Florida today to not only shore up support for his NASA cuts but to shine the spotlight away from thousands of Tea Party protests all over the country on this tax day. NASA is one of the many non-entitlement programs that Obama is cutting to finance his socialistic dream.

I interviewed Dick Gordon, command module pilot of Apollo 12 today after the President’s speech. When asked what he thought of the speech he answered, “Not much. The President was long on rhetoric but short on specifics. Wait until the Russians are the only game in town. Their $50 million fee to the space station will escalate.”

Gene Cernan, the last man to walk on the moon was interviewed today by Neil Cavuto after the speech. Cernan stated, “I have concerns about the future of this country. I’m not on board with Obama’s transformation of America. The President’s vision is a vision to nowhere. Nothing has changed today after I heard the President. You can take parts of his glib presentation today and add them up and there is no defiinition, no detail, there’s no real destination, no focus.”

Cernan wrote an open letter to President Obama with Neil Armstrong and James Lovell that graphically warns us of the dire consequences of the decisions made by this administration: Read more…

Tea Party Day Expecting Infiltrators

Kenneth Gladney Beaten by SEIU thugs

Kenneth Gladney beaten by SEIU thugs

APRIL 15, 2010: We have been working most of the year to pay our taxes, with April 9th marking Tax Freedom Day. According to the Tax Foundation we worked 99 days paying the government before we start paying ourselves. If you add this year’s deficit spending you’ll be working until May 17th to pay for the government’s redistribution plan. This does not count the national debt which just gets being put “on the tab” year after year.

It’s no wonder that April 15 marks the day of Tea Parties throughout the US. The tea taxes that prompted the original Boston Tea Party are dwarfed by the tax burden of the modern taxpayer. The attitude of our Congress that “gives” us healthcare whether we want it or not rivals the imperial attitude of King George and his ministers.

Now Tea Parties are being defamed by the state-controlled media. Beware of plants and infiltrators during today’s events. Patriots like Kenneth Gladney should not be afraid to raise their voices. Today’s fear is not of being beaten by SEIU thugs but rather thugs pretending to be out-of-control tea party activists in front of cameras there for the purpose of discrediting the movement:

New Hampshire Democrats are engaged in a statewide search for liberal activists willing to attend so-called tea parties on Thursday and carry signs expressing racist or fringe sentiments, a Democratic source with knowledge of the effort tells NowHampshire.com. Grim Reaper News

One More Doctor Quitting Practice Due to Obamacare

April 14th, 2010 1 comment

Dr. Joseph Scherzer Says Obamacare Will Force Him to Close ShopSCOTTSDALE, AZ: Dr. Joseph M. Scherzer has informed his patients that unless Obamacare is repealed he will no longer to be able to treat them. He reports that the stress of the new requirements will force him and many of his colleagues to retire early or simply quit practice.

Scherzer said the bill’s emphasis on punitive measures for physicians not following government-prescribed treatment methods under Medicare would increase his anxiety level to the point he would no longer be able to practice medicine. The maximum fine was previously $10,000; under the bill it will now be capped at $50,000. Scherzer said the fine system makes seeing a Medicare patients a difficult and stressful exercise.

“Doctors have actually committed suicide over these things. There’s no insurance to cover it,” Scherzer said, calling the fine system “tremendously complicated and Frankensteinian.” “It’s absolutely impossible to be certain you’ve complied. I feel like when I see a Medicare patient I have the Sword of Damocles hanging over my head.”

Gautham Nagesh, The Daily Caller

Dr. Scherzer reported his experience with Medicare to Neil Cavuto on Fox this afternoon. He said that when Medicare become so unmanageable he discontinued taking Medicare. As a result he lost 90% of his Medicare patients. It is his experience that unless a patient has insurance he will not be able to be treated, so going to a cash basis with his practice once Obamacare goes into effect will not be an option.

What will the government do when more and more doctors leave their practices? There are not enough doctors now and throwing 30 million more patients into the system won’t make it any better. Is it Obama’s plan to force the doctors to practice medicine?  Maybe that’s why he says he needs a national police force.

Van Jones to Be Nominated For Supreme Court Justice

Van Jones Supreme Court Nominee

Van Jones Supreme Court Nominee

WASHINGTON: With Justice John Paul Stevens announcing his retirement speculation is running rampant on who Obama’s nominee will be. The NIP has received inside information from a reliable source that the White House has already made its choice to be announced after laying the groundwork in the mainstream press.

Look next week for coverage of Justice Stevens accomplishments, already outlined in the San Francisco Chronicle today: preservation of abortion rights, support green legislation and climate issues, opposition to Guantanamo, and limits on the death penalty. As his positions are reiterated and emphasized they will build a foundation for Van Jones to be considered as Stevens’s replacement.

Jones is well known as an environmental advocate, civil rights activist and attorney. He currently serves as a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, the George Soros-funded think tank. Jones’s work for the environment is well known, as is also his outstanding work (according to Valerie Jarrett) with STORM (Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement), a socialist group whose official Points of Unity “upheld revolutionary democracy, revolutionary feminism, revolutionary internationalism, the central role of the working class, urban Marxism, and Third World Communism.” Read more…
