Communists and Socialists March in Copenhagen

December 18th, 2009 1 comment

We’re guessing you haven’t seen coverage of this in the MSM reports on the global warming conference in Copenhagen. This kind of demonstration is a little to overt for US audiences, so here in the US Socialists tone it down a bit by calling themselves Progressives, good for PR. So as to not attract too much attention they hide in little groups, like the Congressional Progressive Caucus (the largest caucus within the Democratic Congress. Won’t they be happy when they can come out in full colors like their brethren in Copenhagen…  Oh Europe… how we long for the days when we are more like you! This video kind of warms your heart, doesn’t it? Finally climate change we can believe in.

Copenhagen is Only About Wealth Redistribution

December 16th, 2009 No comments

Little REDD BookCOPENHAGEN: The climate summit is distributing The Little REDD Book, a guidebook outlining the UN’s role in redistribution of wealth. It has been published by the Global Canopy Program, “an alliance of 37 scientific institutions in 19 countries, which lead the world in forest canopy research, education and conservation.”  This UN guide to wealth redistribution lays out the real purpose of the environmentalist movement:

If a post-Kyoto climate agreement fails to act on avoiding tropical deforestation, the achievement of overall climate change goals will become virtually impossible. The lives and livelihoods of millions of people will be put at risk, and the eventual economic cost of combating climate change will be far higher than it needs to be.

For these reasons, the next agreement must create meaningful incentives to remunerate forest nations for the valuable climate services they provide to the world. The Little REDD Book, multiple languages here, NIP archive here.

So we get it. Big Bad USA is supposed to send money to small jungle countries to pay them to not develop land that they wouldn’t develop anyway because they don’t have the energy, brains, property rights and freedom to do so. This is silly. We have more forests in the US than most of these smaller countries combined. And we can and do plant more trees every year. So we have to send them money? The US has done more than any other country in reducing emissions. They should send us money. Read more…

Happy Lenin’s Birthday, i.e. Earth Day

April 22nd, 2010 No comments

Happy Lenin's Birthday, i.e. Earth DayI know what you’re thinking, “As usual Munchausen, you’ve gone too far! The fact that Earth Day and Vladimir Lenin’s birthday are on the same day is only a coincidence. The two have no relationship one to another.”

Would you be just as willing to say that there is no connection between Communism and the environmental movement?

Even though the United States leads the world in environmental protection, the world clamors for draconian penalties on the US while giving free passes to China, India, and polluting third world countries. Of course that’s only fair you say, the US can afford to give its wealth to countries that really need it. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” Such a warm and cuddly statement from Karl Marx.

That brings to mind some of Lenin’s most popular quotes:

A lie told often enough becomes truth.

One man with a gun can control 100 without one.

The goal of socialism is communism.

Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.

It is true that liberty is precious – so precious that it must be rationed.  Vladimir Lenin

I’m guessing you didn’t see the coverage below of the global warming conference in Copenhagen. Watch the video and then you can tell me that there is no connection between Communism and the environmental movement.

How Climate Researchers Look at Us

December 15th, 2009 No comments

COPENHAGEN: Here is one of the “scientific studies” found tucked away in the Climategate files. (You can download the files and see for yourself.) Does this look like the “researchers” at Hadley CRU are unbiased? A video was shown on Glenn Beck today which showed an environmentalist at Copenhagen using this slide as an example of name-calling, which in her mind was an example of public hysteria. Too bad this example was from their side.

From the Climategate Files

From the Climategate Files - How Climate Researchers Look at Us

On his show Glenn said he wished he had the slide being shown by the environmentalist. We found it in the Climategate files. Here you go, Glenn. 😉

Al Gore Lies About Climategate Emails

December 10th, 2009 2 comments

Al Gore Lies About Climategate EmailsCOPENHAGEN: 1999 Prevaricator of the Year nominee Al Gore is at it again. This time he is “setting the record straight” on the East Anglia emails leaked in the Climategate scandal. In an interview with Gore, John Dickerson at clears up some of those pesky questions:

Q: How damaging to your argument was the disclosure of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University?

A: To paraphrase Shakespeare, it’s sound and fury signifying nothing. I haven’t read all the e-mails, but the most recent one is more than 10 years old. These private exchanges between these scientists do not in any way cause any question about the scientific consensus.

That’s the problem with these scientists like Al Gore. Time and space are completely relative when it comes to stretching the truth. The emails in fact have time stamps from as recent as this one by Phil Jones from November 12th, 2009. There are dozens more from just last month. Read more…

Population Control Prevents Global Warming

October 21st, 2009 1 comment

Population Control Slows Global WarmingOne thing interesting about the global warming debate is the direction in which its proponents want to push our governments. Never mind the science is bad. No matter the earth has been cooling. Global warming is reborn as climate change. That’s good, since this same movement was frightening people in the 70’s with “global cooling.” (That way they won’t have to keep switching back and forth from cooling to warming.)

We really need more brilliant minds like Bill Maher to be in charge of us stupid people and everything we do. Apparently these elite minds have realized that one fix for global warming would be if there were less people like us. Read more…

Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty

October 20th, 2009 1 comment

Paul RevereST PAUL, Minnesota: The British are coming! The British are coming! The famous war cry of Paul Revere. Four words that stir the heart of every patriotic American. (Do they even teach this any more?) Over 200 years ago Paul Revere warned his neighbors about the coming dangers to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Now the British are coming again, only this time, they are warning us. On October 14th Lord Christopher Monckton came to America and spoke at the Minnesota Free Market Institute regarding the UN treaty on climate change to be signed by President Obama in Copenhagen in December 2009. In his address he raises the legitimate concern that Obama is preparing to sign away US sovereignty. Read more…
