Obama Awards National Voting Machine Contract to VW

November 3rd, 2015 No comments

obama_merkel_vwToday the Whitehouse announced awarding a national voting machine contract to Volkswagen. Citing recent news articles, Obama is quoted as saying, “We are excited to award this contract to VW engineers who have proven their superior programming skills.”

Analysts wonder at the timing of this announcement. Today’s upset in Kentucky may be telling. Today’s election in Kentucky resulted in Matt Bevin becoming the first republican to become governor in Kentucky in 40 years. Analysts wonder if that stinging loss and others this election day had anything to do with the Obama administration reaching out to VW.

When spokesman Josh Earnest was asked if today’s election losses had anything to do with awarding the contract to VW he replied, “VW has proven their superior programming skills which we feel will help our country bring about social justice at the polling booth.”

You Didn’t Build That Business: On Obama’s Walkback

July 24th, 2012 No comments

Conservatives have gleefully made Obama eat his words about small business owners not building their own businesses. Now Obama is playing damage control by attempting to walk back his statement. He might as well try to walk back his quote to Joe the Plummer, about “spreading the wealth around.” The prevarication here lies in Obama’s attempt to characterize his opponent’s exposé as taking his words “out of context”. Our analysts at the NIP have been working overtime to bring you the facts. First the original clip:

Now here is Obama’s attempt to walk this back:

In this video Obama asserts that his comments were taken out of context. I would not be too sure about that. Indeed his original sentiments echo a commonly held liberal position recently espoused by Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren:

Political demagoguery seems to be the ruling order of the day. In contrast, Charles Krauthammer refutes the liberal philosophy that underlies the supposition behind Obama’s original statement and Elizabeth Warren’s position. It is worth a read: Did the State Make You Great?

Associated Press Fact Check Refutes Obama’s Prevarication

March 29th, 2011 No comments

Highlights from the AP fact check of last night’s speech reveal Obama’s proclivity for exaggeration and self-aggrandizement:

OBAMA: We are turning the operation over to NATO.

FACT: The US is NATO, so we are turning the operation back over to ourselves.

OBAMA: “Our military mission is narrowly focused on saving lives.”

FACT: The operation is expanding militarily in an effort to unseat Gadhafi.

OBAMA: Seeking to justify the operation, he asserted this mission was vital to the national interest of the US.

FACT: Obama contradicted his own defense secretary, Robert Gates, who said the crisis “was not a vital national interest to the United States.”

OBAMA: “And tonight, I can report that we have stopped Gadhafi’s deadly advance.”

FACT: The regime continues to push back the rebels.

OBAMA: “Some nations may be able to turn a blind eye to atrocities in other countries. The United States of America is different.”

FACT: Obama turned a blind eye to the uprising in Iran, the killings of Jewish innocents, and the genocide in Darfur.

Maybe you can explain the strategy behind Obama’s lies. Let us know if you have figured it out. Read more at the AP fact check.

Obama Admits: I’m Not an American, I Was Born in Kenya

March 25th, 2011 No comments

Today we received the following links from one of our loyal readers. The NIP has a question regarding these videos. Either they are genuine or one or both of them is bogus. Suppose they are both genuine. If Obama admits he is not an American and was born in Kenya, what does his statement reveal about the depth of his understanding of the US Constitution? Perhaps Article 2, Section 1, is what he means by the Constitution being a “flawed document.”

On the other hand, the NIP believes that the first video is highly edited and is most likely fraudulent. The second video could be also viewed in a different context. Both videos makes one wonder why the President doesn’t release his birth records to clear this up once and for all. How hard would that be? Could it be that Obama wants this controversy to continue in order to discredit his opponents? What are we missing? Is this controversy meant to serve as a red herring to divert our attention to more weighty matters, like the “transformation” of America?

Obama Lies 7 Times in Under 2 Minutes

December 27th, 2010 No comments

This time of year we reminisce about time passing and a new year approaching. It’s only natural that our minds turn to this great video of candidate Obama promising openness and transparency in government. Would Obama have said anything to get elected? When you finish watching compare this to Governor Chris Christie’s video here.

List of President Obama’s 13 “Top Priorities”

August 16th, 2010 No comments

Time and time again, we have heard President Obama make “perfectly clear” that his administration had given a particular issue “top priority” status. In fact, we were beginning to wonder which issues had not been made a “top priority” by the President.  Mark Knoller for CBS News is reporting an unofficial list of the top issues.  Fortunately, with 13 items enumerated, it will give David Letterman plenty of content to pick and choose for a a top ten countdown.

FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS: “…that’s something that’s going to be a top priority.” (4/27/10)

ENERGY SECURITY: “And that’s why my energy security plan has been one of the top priorities of my Administration since the day I took office.” (4/28/10)

EDUCATION REFORM: “To train our workers for the jobs of tomorrow, we’ve made education reform a top priority in this Administration.” (2/24/10)

STUDENT LOAN REFORM: “This is something that I’ve made a top priority.” (2/1/10)

EXPORTS BY SMALL BUSINESSES: “This is going to be a top priority.” (12/3/09)

HEALTH ASSISTANCE TO 9/11 FIRST RESPONDERS: “I’m not just talking the talk, we’ve been budgeting this as a top priority for this Administration.” (2/3/10)

END HOMELESSNESS AMONG VETERANS: “I’ve also directed (Veterans Affairs) Secretary Shinseki to focus on a top priority: reducing homeless among veterans.” (8/17/09)

HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS: “Our top priority is ensuring the public safety. That means appropriate sheltering in place or if necessary, getting as many people as possible out of harm’s way prior to landfall.” (5/29/09)

H1N1 FLU VACCINATIONS: “And throughout this process, my top priority has been the health and the safety of the American people.” (5/1/09)

SUPPORT FOR MILITARY FAMILIES: “These military families are heroes too. And they are a top priority of Michelle and me. And they will always have our support.” (5/30/09)

STRENTHENING TIES WITH CANADA AND MEXICO: “We’re going to make this a top priority…” (10/16/09)

CONSUMER PROTECTION: “During these challenging times, the needs of American consumers are a top priority of my Administration.” (2/11/09)

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: “So this is going to be a top priority generally improving our environmental quality.” (11/5/09)

Obama Asks for $50 Billion to Bail Out States for “Emergency”

June 14th, 2010 1 comment

Obama Redistributes Wealth of AmericaWASHINGTON: Saturday found Obama once more pleading for additional “Emergency” money. When we at the NIP saw the headlines we thought good for him, he is pleading for money to help the embattled gulf coast. We almost didn’t pursue the story further. But no, this is not oil spill related, this is bailout money to prop up insolvent state and local governments:

President Obama urged reluctant lawmakers Saturday to quickly approve nearly $50 billion in emergency aid to state and local governments, saying the money is needed to avoid “massive layoffs of teachers, police and firefighters” and to support the still-fragile economic recovery.

In a letter to congressional leaders, Obama defended last year’s huge economic stimulus package, saying it helped break the economy’s free fall, but argued that more spending is urgent and unavoidable. “We must take these emergency measures,” he wrote in an appeal aimed primarily at members of his own party. Lori Montgomery, Washington Post

So let’s get this straight: influence-peddling local politicians drive their local and state governments bankrupt by pushing social programs and wacky environmental projects. Faced with deficits they seek to pay for their social programs by cutting education and essential services. Then faced with this “crisis” they created by mismanagement they seek money from the Obama administration.

So financially conservative states now need to fund irresponsible states. Iowans and Texans need to send their money to help politicians prop up their administrations in California, Chicago and Detroit. This fits in well with the Progressive aim to enact social and economic justice. It’s way past time for taxpayers to quit putting up with this nonsense.
